Default We all think we will live forever

I was at a funeral of my sister in laws boyfriends brother and I thought you all should know how he died. He was returning home late after the Heat won on Friday. Southbound on S Dixe Hwy he decided to take Snapper Creek expy to catch the turnpike. Snapper Creek is a straight long road that bends to the south and meets with the turnpike. We dont know why he was doning 90 - 100 mph but he did not make the curve and his Jag went over the the barrier and tumbled many times. He was not wearing his seat belt and we dont know if he fell a sleep or was careless or had too much to drink. We wont know till the autopsy results come in. He leaves behind a wife and a 3 yr old son. He was 25 years old and had a very successful computer parts distrubution business.

Considering I do all car stuff with my brother as he use to do with his I know this will be a hard time for him. I know alot of guys that drive without seatbelts and its a macho thing I guess but remember that if you die its your friends and family that are left to suffer so do us a favor and wear one as there is nothing worse than leaving your family wondering "want if" .

Wow very sorry to hear that. I went through a little period where I didn't wear my seatbelt, and then I realized that there was no reason not to.

wow, sorry, a story we hear all too often... what if...
Personally? I ALWAYS where my seatbelt, i feel naked without it, and I slide a little on the leather and it just doesnt feel right(even in my old v6 which had very vomfortably soft cloth, which is out o the ordinary, everyone elses cloth seats feel like burlap lol). If you dont wear yourseat belt because it bothers you, adjust your seat so it doesnt, or grin in bear it panzy. Slap some Recaro 4-point harness seats in there...

Yeah I hear people say quite often that they don't wear one because they know of someone that died because they had theirs on...It's like wake the fvck up you idiot..how many people die because they wore one compared to the amount of people that die because they don't? I really don't get why people don't do it. It takes 2 seconds. When I lived at home, my parents had a looooong drive-way so sometimes I would drive to the mailbox and was in such a habit of wearing it, I would put it on to drive to the mailbox, not even thinking about it.

So honestly..why wouldn't anyone wear their seatbelt?

And I am sorry to hear that Venom..and yes..his friends and family will wonder for the rest of their lives..what if he wore his seatbelt?
