Well, isn't that just nice...good to know our tax dollars are well spent.....

 

Yeah, they basically gave people ATM cards with money on them! Duh, what did they think was going to happen! It's just sad because there were A LOT of people who used the money for what it was intended for, but as always just a few ruins it for everyone!

 

Hell, I heard of people buying 2k dollar Louis Vuitton purses with their cards... Glad to know they were using it for what they really needed...

 

It was a good idea in concept to give people the ATM cards because it was instant cash that would help them out right then and there, rather than waiting for the Gov to cut them a check....and even then where would they send it because most people didn't have a house left.....so it was a good idea in concept, but they needed to find away to limit what the card could be used for....not sure how you do that, but I'm sure there is a way.

Shyt...I could care less what they spent the FEMA (part of my tax) dollars on. They deserve to buy themselves whateva they want..like going to strip clubs or buying jerwelry and stuff.. Have a blast..they went through holy hell with that storm.

of coarse some arnt making smart descisions on what they purchase..but how does that differ from what bullcrap stuff the Goverment uses some tax dollars on also..

 

Hmm, I have to disagree. Especially with as much bitching and moaning that STILL was coming out. I know there were people that used it for what its intended for, and they didnt moan and complain, but the same people that were using it for the wrong reasons, were probably the same ones complaining. The government spends bs money on stuff like protecting my freedom, I dont give a crap how much in missles theyve used, it lets me sleep peacefully at night. But spending 2k on a purse when people are starving and homeless? I hope they burn in hell, but thats just my opinion.

I agree with Matt. It's b/s that people wasted that money when it could've been used to help people who actually needed it. Just one more reason why people are giving up on humans.
