I dont wont to convert it to a polyphonic ringtone i want it to actually sing with words etc. so any suggestions on how to convert to the proper file such as a .mid etc.

What kind of phone is it? Does it support mp3 ringotne playback? The MiniSD is just a storage for like music or images or whatever you would like to store and im not sure you can store ringtones on it.

Do you have a data cord to access the phone? I have Windows on my phone so the way I set mine up is probably different from yours.

The instruction manual may offer some insight for custom ringtones.

all i do is take the sd card put it in a card reader and connect it to my computer and just drag and drop. read through the manual says nothing about custom ringtones or even putting mp3 on the phone. i may just call samsung monday, but thatll be my last option

sorry to tell you that you can't. they want you to pay the .99 or 1.99 or however much ringtones are nowadays. i bought an Mp3 phone thinking i would be able to use mp3's as my ringer. i've tried every possible solution and the only way to get something as a ringer is to download it as a ringer. Congrats on your new phone though, they are still damn sweet to listen to songs on when you're not near a boombox ro your iPod.
