Burnouts
how the hell can i do a stand still burnout?! i usually just take traction control off and drop it at 4-5 grand and spin it all throughout 2nd but i wanna be able to stay in the same spot and just keep peeling. do i have to gold the brakes down? how do i do that and work the manual pedals at the same time?! so confusing, honda's you just hold the e-brake

little preasure wont do it trust me you have to hold em preaty hard. you can either do it 1 of three ways first rev it up to 4 or 5 grand and dump the clutch and use the clutch foot to stomp the brake peddle or as i do you can do a heel toe action with the ball of your right foot mashed on the brake and then roll the other side of your foot onto the gas ane rev it up and dump it or you could put a line lock on it then you just have to hit the breaks press the button and hold and relese the brake rev it up and dump the clutch and when you want to move relese the buton if no line lock i prefer the heel to method cuase you still have a clutch foot so you can shift whill standin still smoken the tires

Do the heal toe technique them. Just put your toes and part of your foot on the gas, with your heal on the brake. Press down on the brake and rev it up to 3k and pop the clutch. If you practice though, it s really easy to pop the clutch and move your left foot to the brake really quickly... a little rougher though.
Does anyone know how bad dropping the clutch is on a car and how much one can take?

What i always do after years of doing it on manual mustangs 20 years!! is Left foot works the clutch, And it turn my right foot so my toes are on the Gas pedal, and my heel is on the brake. I hold the brake in just enough while im starting to ive it gas, Then i let the clutch out.
Once i start spinning, I put my left clutch foot on the brake so i can control my rpms better with my right. A lot of people do it that way and it takes a lot of practice. Watch it because if you dont do it right you will smoke your clutch.
The front brakes have more holding power and engage first i think barely.
I had line locks on one car, it came on it!!! Im just so used to the way i do it above, that its like riding a bike!!!
I just read the other responses, I see 2 others already explained this and do it that way.

Nothing like new tire time when you have nsew tires mounted on rims waiting in the garage. and its time to burn up the little bit of rubber you have left on the tires!!!, I have a 270 foot driveway freshly paved last year!!!
The neighbors just shake their head watching me sometimes!!! Especially 2nd gear burnouts and the speedo hitting 65 or 70!!!

Looks cool but not worth it imo.
