Default Tried by a street bike

Ok so I leave the local hot rod hang out tonight and a bike hauls *** past me as I am getting up to speed. He pulls over a mile or so up the road and pulls back on the road when I pass him. He come up next to me pointing at his bike, my car, then straight ahead. I wave my hand no thanks. He flips his visor and does it again. I laugh and wave my hand again and lip no thanks to him. Now why would anyone want to race a street bike? I assume I was not a ***** for declining on the race, but hell...it would make no damn since considering he would wax me. What do you guys think?

A buddy of mine totally waxed a sport bike (I dunno what kind) with his 03 twin turbo Cobra. It only puts like 800 hp to the wheels. He said the bike got the jump, but he walked it down, and passed it up and when they let off he was wayyyy ahead. He said he let off at 163 mph. That dude is crazy.

racing a bike is pointless unless you have some serious power

Yeah, my 954 stock was 154bhp and weighed less than 400 pounds. It ran a 10.8 at 132.7 stock and that was fighting the bike to keep it down through 1st and 2nd... it's at 186bhp now and hasn't been tested again yet. I never wasted the gas or time racing a car lol....

BTW anybody who rides a bike and tries to race a car is probably new to bikes and trying to show off. Very good that you didn't race him, he probably would've ended up falling off or laying it down.

Yeah youll almost positively lose to a bike.

I was at real street drags at the local drag strip last year. There was a pot to get in to randomly race for money. Obviously you had to have something fast to get in. Well one of the last races was a heyabusa that was slammed and lengthened vs a fox body mustang and it was neck and neck all the way down and the bike JUST pulled on him at the end. Id say he lost by mabye 2 feet. it was just SICK. everyone got up from the stands to stand up and watch in disbelief. I was like holy **** that mustang is fast. Weird thing is he didnt lift either. lol

If you run a bike...always do it from a roll! I watched a couple bikes lose horribly from a roll to turbo honda's and other mustangs on 150shots. From a dead stop on the other hand...dont even waste your time they will walk away no problem. I see it fun when a bike wants to mess with you, especially the guys who have their girls with them riding and a mustang stays side-by-side with them!

Just think of it like this...A stock Busa will decimate anything with less than 900 RWHP!!!

eh... I woulda raced him...

Of coarse the chances of ya winning are impossible...

But ya would have seen how your car performs COMPARED to a street bike...

then again...

ya could get in some trouble and some people might think that you are serious and laugh at you...

4.6 is right a stock Hyabusa 1300 is a 10sec bike from the factory. Altho the newer ones are coming as a 1500. Altho anyone CAN beat a bike if whoever is riding it cant ride, some people can and some just cant but try oh so hard.

Busas are LOW 10's from the factory, like 10.3's with sh*tty riders. I've seen them bone stock in the 9's. Busas are straight line bikes though, a 600 will DESTROY them in the turns.

Yes sir it was at B-King. You should come out there and meet up with me. Several other sweet Stangs are up there. There is a silver Saleen running around town now that revs everytime we pass each other. Gives me the eeby jeebies lol.

wow it wasnt much of a problem? thats crazy considering that they raced a r1 vs. a zo6, they went 0-60 back down to 0 to see who could do it the fastest. the r1 went 0-60 and came to a complete stop before the zo6 even got to 60. so if you beat a r1 with no problem thats pretty sick
