Default What a ****ty Weekend!

Damn I had a bad weekend, whoever says things happen in 3's can kiss my ***! I've heard of other people having things happening in 3's but in the same freaking day! ****!

To Start things off, we went to Helen for the weekend, just a nice family trip to get away from things and relax....and all was well until yesterday when all hell broke loose.

1. The Wifey's car, once we got back to the camp resort from breakfast, I noticed there was something leaking from under the hood. I thought for a second that it was just the A/C overflow....then about 30 minutes later, it was still leaking. So, I go take a look and there is a nice bright green puddle under the car! Well about a month ago I spent over $800 on this car having the A/C compressor and several other things fixed, and I was about to get ill thinking that damn thing went out again. But, it wasn't that, it was the wonderful water pump starting to leak. So, to make it home we got some Bars Leak, and luckilly that held up. But, none the less, instead of the $300 or so that was going into the Panama City fund, that will now be going into the fix the ****ing car fund!

2. Round 2. Since we decided to leave early since the wifey's car was ****ed, my mom wanted to keep my kids up in the mountains with her and take them to the waterpark. So, we said sure no problem, that way if the durango did over heat we wouldn't have to sit on the side of the road with them in the 91 degree weather. WEll, about the time we got home, I get a phone call. Before they even got inside the park, there were some employees watering the flowers outside and my mom slipped in the entrance way and fell and now has a mild concussion! But, luckilly the owner of the water park was a nice guy and is paying for all the doctor bills. So, my kids didn't even get to go to the waterpark (which they pitched a fit to go), and my mom got an ambulance ride and a nice headache!

3. Now round 3 which really pissed me off! WHile on the ride home yesterday, I was on hwy 129 in Pendegrass. Was going 60 in a 55 (cops are all over that road), and noticed a black and white explorer pull out of a side street and was behind me keeping his distance. Got to a red light and he stayed about 50 yards behind me. Look over in the on coming lane and there is a regular patrol car that pulls up to the light. Well the light turns green, the patrol car makes a u turn and blue lights me. I know I wasn't speeding so I didn't know what his deal was. So, I pull over. Start to get out of my car (because I had my gun, and always get out of my car, better safe than sorry), and he puts his hand on his gun and yells for me to get back in my car.

* side note: my driver and passenger windows were rolled all the way down for this entire time*
He walks up to the window, and says. "Sir, you know your tint is dark?" I say "yes sir, but only the back". So, he tells me to roll my front window up some and he pulls out the gauge........17%. I was like ****! So he goes on to tell me that it is illegal to have tint on any window of my car! and I said no, that is not true (which he didn't like), and then he says there is a limit of 32% on each window. So, I just say whatever and go on. Then he turns to walk back and stops and says, you know your taillight tint is illegal too. ANd I tell him, "No, sir, I spoke with an officer before purchasing it, and he told me as long as I had a 3rd brake light it was legal." he said that was wrong and made me remove it.

So, I got ticketed for the window tint, but only a "verbal" warning for the taillight tint (must have realized I was right).

And on top of all this BS that went on this weekend, I am about 3 shades redder than burnt, and my shoulders feel like they are in a incenerator!

Damn man sorry to hear that. When a cop comes behind me I turn my parking lights on so my tails light up in the day time and don't look so black. I will end my story there because if I say anymore I will end up getting pulled over today for my windows and my tails. Hope your week gets better.

"When it rains, it POURS" Keep your head up, there's always somethin to look forward too...Hope you got plenty of pictures, cause in 20 years you'll look back on it and go our entire family was almost killed due to a cursed camping trip!

Just a note, the tint thing. If your tint is bad, just get it retinted and send the court a copy of the bill saying you got it fixed and ask them to drop the ticket as you didn't know it was illegal! (Get what ever tint you like, you prolly won't get pulled over for it in another 100 yeras, KNOCK ON WOOD)

mom is doing a lot better, just has a small headache now and a nice bump on the back of her head.

But, I dont take warnings well. I just ordered some VHT nite shades paint. Going to paint my taillights, but only doing a 40-50% instead of blackouts this time!

All that really sucks man. It'll get better though. lol STICK IT TO THE MAN! Some cops are just looking for stuff to get people for, they have the whole I have a badge, so now I am KING!" complex.

Also, next time you're pulled over, don't get out of the car. Put your hands and have your passengers put their hands out the window and notify the officer that you have a firearm. Most officers percieve someone getting out of their vehicle as a sign of agression / confrontation.

Yeah man, cops get really nervous when someone starts to exit a vehicle without being told. I'm not saying that any of this is your fault. Just a heads up. It sucks about the wife's truck and your mom. My brother ditched his Durango after the second engine rebuild in 80K miles because of ****ty oil pumps. The upside is that you and your family are all alive and well and made it home in one piece.
