Default accident...

yup...got in an accident 2day on my way to freakn graduation....

traffic in daytona beach....etc...etc.... ended up STOMPING ON MY BRAKES to try to stop and ended up hitting the car in front of me and BOOM AIRBAGS DEPLOYED! (tho i think i went from 20mph to zero....)....then as that happened, a SUV rear ended me because sum kid jaywalked so he didnt see me braked...

got an imprint of his front license plate on my rear bumper...front bumper looks like its fine, just needs to be put back on, like its alittle loose...no dmg on that...rear end has those marks plus a inch of chipped paint thatll bubble... but retareded me was in such a hurry to get to graduation because i was late that i didnt get the guys info about the rear end....

the dmg isnt wut im worried about...its the cost of airbags? (and airbags happened because i hit the person in front of me, so thats my fault...)

how much do airbags cost to get and installed? (from a ford dealer...)

wut a great graduation huh? so long for exhaust and gears...hello saving up for new airbags....hell to drivint the old v6 to do stuff......

Really sorry to hear that man.....

You might want to get your bumpers checked out, or at least look at them yourself. I got rear ended a while back, the persone was only doing like 15 mph and on the outside my bumper only looked like it had 1 little scratch. I took it in and they pulled the bumper and ended up having to replace everything. Costed the other persons insurance A LOT more than what they estimated.

Dammit man, screw it be late for graduation. They always start late anyway. You screwed yourself not getting the guys info that hit you. Now you have to pay for his mistake. Just think if you got his ins. to pay for it, you could have left your bumper alone and used that money for other stuff!!!

But, glad you're allright though!

Thats what Im thinking. Airbag deployment totals a lot of cars. Theres a reason for that, they are expensive as hell.

ok... and about the fake airbag thing...that wont work...parents wont allow it...because by the time i got the fake airbag thingy done, they'd prolly be in the car atleast once and wonder why the airbag light is on...

and where would i go to just have my bumpers inspected? and could i go to maaco to get my bumpers repainted? lol, or do they not do it right?

yoooooooo, do u think i could try this on my parents so they wont be poissed that i didnt get his info??

i can say, while AT graduation....sumtime during it, sum1 REVERSED into me and left that mark, but hit me hard enough to let airbags off? or do the airbags NOT deploy of reend is hit?

idea came cause i thought that if u got hit hard enough on either end...tjhat airbags would deploy? thios way my parents wont be pissed at me, casue i had no idea who did it and stuff?

need your ideas ASAP because my 2 tires are here and my dad would prolly help me put them on...and i dont want him noticing the airbags and sh* without me sayn anything?

and itll work if they deploy from rearend hit because my front end has no physical can see damage (until i go sumwhere to check it out as u guys said)..............

lemme kno fast....thx

I always thought airbags deploy only if u get hit in the front, not in the rear. Could be wrong though....

If you try to pull that, I will personally find out your parents and tell them. Be a man, own up to YOUR actions, dont pull some bull**** act like that. BTW thats insurance fraud, and if you ever had an accident, and insurance agent went snooping and finds that you just wrote that, they might start asking questions. You screwed up. NEVER leave an accident without information, even if you are running late. It takes all of 5 mins to write down the guys info, and you didnt. I understand it was graduation, but 5 mins. You are pretty much SOL, but dont lie to your parents.

I went up to the ocean walk to go see a movie and it happen to be the same night people were having thier graduation and it was insane. Although I parked on the roof of the parking garage to aviod getting hit by some moron it took forever to get down(as in like 45min). I have to head up there again tomarrow for some friends that are graduating. The ocean center sux although I wanna go eat at Bubba Gumps.

whats the worst they can do? lecture your *** on proper accident edicate. You werent "speeding in your young hip sports car, too young for the responsibility", you got in an accident you could have done in any other car, possibly worse given our brakes are not too shabby. You will be out the money... but no biggie, i had to replace some guys bumper i hit without going through insurance for 450 bux, because he was taking a left out of a right turn road thing and he moved forward to go, i moved up to go aswell as traffic on the right side of the road was clear, well, his mexican *** decided that traffic wasnt clear enough on his side and slammed his brakes, and i hit his rear bumper, just barely. Decided that i have a 500 dollar deductible and this would be under it anyhow, could only raise my rates, and paid off the 450 to Putnam Automotive.
So, the way I see it, lesson learned, although be it an expenisve one

lol.....well told my parents about it, they said "wow good job..." dad is pissed about the rear end...front end no dmg so they cant tell...

but they told me insurance will cover it and the deductale will be 500 for me... so 500 for 2 airbags would be good for me...

now i just gotta wait for dad to get home to examine the front bumper and put my new tires on....lol (2 275/40/17's) since i NOW dont got money to get rims and 315s for the rear.... =)
