Glad it's working out for you. And remember always trust your parents in helping you make decisions. Never lie to them. You don't want to loose their trust. Sure, you may get lectured about things but at your age it probably wouldn't hurt. Not dissin ya or nothing but My kid will be griving in a 3 years so I hope he'll be responsible enough to trust me when **** happens. Parents always love their chidren and that won't change no matter how bad things get.

now i just gotta wait for dad to get home to examine the front bumper and put my new tires on....lol (2 275/40/17's) since i NOW dont got money to get rims and 315s for the rear.... =)

Your insurance is going to **** rape you now...lol

Duce with parents always loving their children! Andrea Yates ring a bell! I'm going to agee that it is almost always the responsibility of the person who hit you from behind (regardless if your airbags went off). It means they were following too close so they would be liable for everything. Them not giving you thier info is almost hit and run IMO if it caused damage (I know its not, but both parties should exchange info regarless...whiplash is a bit**). If you let them cut then that was on you. Could be a good opportunity to get a cobra bumper with the "cobra" part filled in! The glass is always half full, especially when it is a $400 glass!

Most likely monkeh was the cause of the accident. And he would be responsible for causing the chain reaction that insued. Failure to slow to avoid an accident does not apply to all situations. You cant just lock up your brakes and expect everyone to react the same. So the person who initiated the first collision would probably be responsible for the insuing melee behind him. And as for parents... I meant normal parents..

thats how it SHOULD be...

like i said... idk how it is every where... but in NJ... the person who re ended is ALWAYS at fault...

and NJ laws are something that I know VERY well... being that my pops is a retired trooper

Your probably right if all goes by the book. Daaam think of those massive pile ups in foggy weather on interstates. Geez take all day to hand out tickets for a 100 car pile up.. :surrender

well that depends on the cop...

most NJ troopers wouldn't waste their time... 99% of the patrol are great guys...

Its up to the cop to write the ticket... i would hope that a cop wouldn't issue a ticket to ever car

You know this is an interesting subject cause we've all seen those 2 and 3 car collisions. (never had a wreck myself). But who gets the ticket? If someone pulls out in front of me or something like that and I slam them, then a chain reaction starts, Wouldn't the driver who started the whole mess be at fault? Maybe not.? Chime in anyone who has been rearended or has rearended someone and caused the pileup.

I know a few moving violations would be (I'm guessing now)

failure to slow for an accident
following to closely to avoid an accident
failure to reduce speed to blah blah.
any others?
I guess like you said it depends on the officer and the situation.

I would look on ebay or a junk yard for the airbag you may get each for less than $100.

You should be able to do it yourself.....but i'm sure any repair shop could do it cheaper than a dealer

I wouldnt attempt to install it yourself bc there's only one way to find out if they work. And by then it'd be too late if they didnt work...

well dad went to insurance place...im dropping my car off at the ford dealership i got my car from...they r gonna do the airbags and possibly repaint my front and rear bumpers (front has dmg from previous owner and the rear bumper...they repainted it before when sum1 hit me...and the paint is for sum reason fading near the wheels...so thats their mistake...hopfully they will repaint that for free neways since it has a warranty) -

my dad is paying for it right now...im paying 200, then paying him weekly installments...so bye bye exhaust ...
