3rd brake light

Default 3rd brake light

On my 99 mustang the 3rd brake light on the trunk is popped off a little on the ends of it. How do i fix that?

sorry about how dark they are, i just took them and it got dark outside faster than i thought it would

tighten the bolts in the truck maybe? thats where i would start to look.

Mine is the same way and I've had it out several times. It probably ain't the bolts. Wish I could find a new one for less than $85.

Yea i just looked under the trunk and i couldnt see any bolts to tighten down. So i dont know, one day that i have the chance ill look closer at it.

I have a 3rd brake light laying around if one of you guys want it. Its not in the best condition, but its fixable and isnt bent or whatever like the one in the picture. PM me...

Thanks, but ill keep it in mind. Its nothing to major i dont think, and for now its not bothering me, i just noticed it one day. I just thought someone on here might know how to fix it.

Yea, i'm having a similar problem w/my '03. Mine is discolored, looks live someone dipped their hand in acid and touched my brake light. and it's also bending at the edges. Does anyone know if ford will cover that under their good 'ole bumper to bumper warranty?

The acid looking thing is caused by the sun light. If your car is still under warranty then I dont see why Ford wouldnt fix it.
