Who know's why it took 5 years or why they released it at all. Maybe it was to shut the conspiracy theory people up or maybe it was political in a time where President Bush's approval rating with both Republicans and Democrats are in the dumps.
But I think the main reason they released the video is because of the wire tapping issue. He wan't to remind people what happened on 9/11 and I bet you if he hasn't already, he'll make some statement in the next few days about how they possibly could have stopped the attack if they were more aggressive with wire tapping phone lines. It's all political and for no other reason.

I hate crap like this and I took a architechture class awhile ago and this was a project this is where I got my info from.........that video left out so much crap its not even funny....so let me clarify with this ......scroll through the pics and evidence of debris that video left out.
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/pages/..._evidence.html
People wonder why that video of the plane crashing doesnt fit the size of 757 wanna know why is because of the angle it came in at and the pitch makes it seem smaller but draw a outline and it fits.

I couldnt disagree more. The government already had the capability to tap into lines, however they had certain channels they had to go through.
Now they can tap whoever's line they want for any or no reason.
The whole idea of "if yer not doing anything wrong it shouldnt matter" i disagree with. Im not doing anything wrong, so why SHOULD they be tapping into my lines?
Why are so many people so willing to hand power to the government hand over fist? We are losing our libertys and freedom one at a time. Wire tapping is not gonna find any extra info, it wont prevent anything else from happening. The system they had was perfectly fine. Now they can invade everybodys privacy at will.
Privacy is a part of Freedom. Privacy is not free. But that doesent matter cause now everyone rolled onto thier backs and gladly handed it over because they are afraid of the terrorists.
We cannot let terrorists govern our lives. The terrorists won this one with the freedom act. They have altered our lives and cost us civil rights. We gave them that victory. This is just the beginning of our slow destruction of the ideas our forefathers believed in, and the country they so valiantly fought to establish. We are KILLING it.
Patriot Act is nothing more than a Sham. It is a Traitor Act in my view. The government should NOT have the right to SPY on its own people at will.
The Government should NOT be in control of the people, the PEOPLE should be in control of the GOVERNMENT.
If it were up to me it never would have passed. And if somebody bombed my building while i was in it, and the "traitor act" could have prevented it?
Well, i would have no regrests, i would gladly give my life up to allow my fellow americans to keep thier civil libertys, freedom, and right to privacy. That is a possible price that i would willingly pay. Because the price is WORTH it.
Freedom isnt free. Nobody seems to remember that anymore, people have been spoiled and they are more than happy to throw away thier own personal rights and freedoms for fear of the terrorists. And THAT is why the terrorists are winning.
People in this country are turning into a bunch of *****s, too afraid to fight for what they have, willing to hand it over to anyone.
Why not give up everything?Lets let the government tap our lines, put camera's in our houses, track us with implanted GPS systems, go through our trash, analyze our urine. Gee, lets just give up EVERYTHING it means to be AMERICAN! Because we dont want to deal with the big nasty terrorists.
*****s.

I think the wire tappin thing is a bit
but...
I really could care less... If they want to listen to my mother or my sister talk to their friends about stupid pointless crap (like a day at school or how they stepped in dog poop and it was gross) well then go right ahead...
The fact of the matter is.. I cant see any reason for them to tap phone lines of regular people like us (and you chris too)... Its for the better good...
I can see how ya feel that it takes away from your freedom... but... come on... Do you have interesting phone convos?
Or is it that ya dont want the autorities to know about those hookers

So if your not one of those people then i dont get what the fuss is all about, you have nothing to worry about. We live in a time where this needed, not everyone has their head on straight, we cant just take our chances with these people. This is just like the columbine incident, since then if you go around any school in the united sates, there are "lockdowns" where the students are locked in the rooms while the local police search lockers and what not, also in most schools if any student says anything about bombs or guns they are expelled or repramanded. Why do we have this in our schools? to prevent another Columbine, because you and I both know that is not something we want to happen again... Why arent people crying about this?? Arent our youth "losing their liberties"? the answer is no that is there to prevent something like that from ever happening again. We have to learn from our past, we cant go through life as if we are invincible and everyone around us are good people because they are NOT, some people are crazy!!

It affects me directly because i have lost my right to privacy. Weather or not im doing anything wrong is completly irrellevant. This country has allowed people freedom of speech, and freedom to ddisagree with the government. This is the first step in the government monitoring and keeping tabs on those who do not agree with its policys. Big brother is watching YOU dude. And all your friends. And everyone who doesent agree with what the government does.
The government shouldnt be spying on its own people without a damn good reason and it should be approved through the proper channels. END OF STORY.
Freedom and privacy is worth the risk, ill gladly take it, and so will a lot of other people.
Dont get me wrong, im not ANTI-GOVERNMENT, and i am certainly PRO-AMERICAN. However i feel the government is almost ANTI AMERICAN sometimes in the actions it takes.
America is NOT the President, America is NOT the Government, America is NOT the military or the police.
America is the PEOPLE.
And i dont believe in changing the way i live my life cause of some terrorist. They keep flinging that word at us, where have the attacks been? i dont see em. Not here in the USA. And i dont give 2 craps how many lines the government taps, how many intelligence operatives it has, how many lines into other countrys, they can STILL slip beneath the radar and do it again if they want.
But now the government turns its eye on its own citizens, suspecting all of us. The tragety isnt that the terrorists can get in here and do it again, the tragety is that they are starting to turn the government against the people, and causeing it to watch the people, instead of watching over the people as it should.

The video thing still bothers me. Im no conspiracy theorist by any means, but why still so many secrets. Let us see the gas station video tapes, why hide it if we all know what really happened that day...thats my only problem with it.

All I know is that it was a cowardly act thought out by dumbasses. One thing that really bothers me is, how our government keeps calling them horrible pilots, and unintelligent. When they out thought yall and almost crippled us.

That's funny dude....listening to people talk about the dog poop! ha ha ha ha.
Sorry, but I think I started the wire tapping issue....I was simply saying that it's probably Bush's political strategy to release the tape to remind people of 9/11 and then he'll incorporate the wire tapping issue into it. So to me it is on topic...sorta.
I don't have a problem with wire tapping, but there has to be some kind of process. If I'm calling Iran 5 times a day and the Government wants to know what on earth I have to talk to them about, then fine go get a court order to tap my phone....not a big deal. But the Government doesn't need to have the authority to just go tap tom, dick and harry's phone cause they feel like it.....
Do I think they are going around listening to us normal peoples conversation, probably not, but there needs to be law and order, not a free pass for the Government to do what they want.

although I think we need to grow and adapt to what the world is rapidly becoming, I don't think the government needs to spend time, assests, money, ect.. watching the American public. The wire tapping issue is one that needs to be addressed too but it seems like the government is just making a knee jerk, shotgun reaction. There has been a wire tapping for a long time.
I don't want my freedoms slowly taken away either. I do think we need to change our way of thinking though.

LOL this past 2 hours has been a rollercoaster. First I'm for the govt then after the vid, I'm like "wtf the govt is corrupted" and now I've actually done research and most of the theories in the video are from false information. It's easy to make a point when you give false info. a LOT of the info(in fact, most of it) goes uncited. yet everywhere that I saw that disproved the conspiracies gave direct citation as to where they got the info.
