Feeling of Accomplishment
You guys ever get the feeling of accomplishment after doing something that took a really long time and comes out really well.
I just finished making my black bullets and might I add under $50. Prep work was perfect, priming and sanding great, and painting went great. I'm very satisfied just waiting for them to get totally cured so I can wash the car.
Big improvement!!!!

What type of paint did you use? Spray Gun or can? Give us some details. This would make a great "How to" article.

Well everyone knows i'm a huge fan of VHT so I thought i'd use the polyurethane wheel paint with a combination of the sandable filler primer (I had some metal nicks)......might I add smart thing to use since it can take a beating and still look good.
I would like to make a How To if I just took some pics of the process its would be better but I guess I can wing it and do a before and after pic. I had some good ideas from ppl and just added my touch to it.

Hell yeah, that looks awesome man! Very nice job! I just wish I could do mine in a black chrome and knew they would turn out good, if so I would do them.
I'll have that same feeling of accomplishment if I ever get my interior finished! Which may take longer now, because I am thinking about doing something completly different (same colors) but will take forever, but the finished product would definatly be a 1 off and I think would look cool as ****!

look real nice man! did that wheel paint needa clearcoat after you were done? I was thinking about doing this on my old car's bullitts because the rears look like complete ****, faded horribly, apparently the prior owner of the rims didnt know how to take care of them...
EDIT: Duplicolor makes a similar products and i would have used theirs...

Duplicolor is crap no offense I used their caliper paint a while ago ended up redoing it. No I didnt need a clearcoat I used a gloss black with about 7-8 coats worth with a duration of 15 min. per coat. VHT owns duplicrap.

Thought i'd give a update. I wanted to test the durability in so I put a little brake fluid, salt water, and did some spirited drving to get the brake dust going.....polyurethane paint is freaking durable.

Sweet. Now I know what to use when I do mine. The paint on the OE and aftermarket MT wheels aren't an exact match. It's close and you can't tell unless the wheels are right beside each other, but it just irritates me knowing that they aren't exactly the same.
