What do YOU do for a living?

Engineering Technician is the technical job title, but in reality, I sit in an office, make copies of plans when they need them, Im in charge of sending all the plans out to companies that want to bid our projects, and occasionally do some autocad work for the other engineers. Im also going to be a sophmore civil engineering student in August. Oh yes, yesterday, I got to go 2 miles out at sea to a underwater dredge that we are using to renourish one of our beaches that our department "owns." That kicked ***.

Floppy i thought you were older.
Anyways.
Im a Telecommunications Switching Systems Network Technician Team Leader.
I dont know what the **** it means either.
LOL.
I work proactive surveillance and reactive troubleshooting on class 5 phone switching systems, aka the big boys. Nortel DMS 100, DMS250, DMS500, Lucent 5ESS, Lucent DRM, SONUS Softswitches, Siemans ESWD class 5 platforms, as well as all SS7 signaling hardware, SCP's, STP's, etc. Analog, DIGITAL, and now we are pumping out VOIP products hand over fist, sio im learning unix, gateways, cisco routers, etc.
I dont know what the **** all that means either.
Pretty much my job means i sit in a cube waiting for something to go wrong. For example, right now im waiting for a callback from a customer who reported intermittant echo problems on the last 2 DS0's off a T1 of thier VOIP service.
or for example, if you call a number you know damn well and goood that it is a real valid number, and it completes from yer celllphone but not desk phone, well, i fix that ****.
Static, echo, dropped calls, ckt down, routing issues, cannot complete 800, or 1+ local/ld, all that kind of crap.
And strangly enough, i really like it.
lol

Senior Designer.
first ten years was tool designer, currently a lead designer for a truck company that builds the cab and chassis for refuse haulers.
Done jet engine tooling for GE, Rolls Royce and UTC
Basic jack of all trades when boils down to it.
Tractors for John Deere, weld body jigs for Honda of America in Ohio.
Love it and the pay is awesome, especially when I go on the road.
My other toy is a 51 Chevy Pick Up.

Industrial Technician at Purolator Prod. NA, (a subsidary of Bosch/ Mann Hummel). Finally got bought from the dreaded Arvinmeritor Corp. I basically setup, run, fix, and fabricate in the following fields:
Injection Molding
Expanded Metal
Power Presses (mainly small OBI, and straight side presses) 75 to 200 tons.
I am trained and well experienced in all shop applications, ie. milling, lathes, surface grinding, welding, and in other words I work in a factory. I do it all.
And I celebrate my 27th year at this Plant next month.
Didn't mean to blow my horn so hard but gaadaam I'm a bad ****. LOL

I'm a senior in High School. I live off allowance which is pretty good pay @400/month considering I just take out the trash...
I'm going into biochemistery to become a doctor. Not sure which kind yet but when I get out of med school I'll be staring at a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo for graduation and a brand new m3 after my 4 year university graduation. =)

I started our bag service 4 years ago. I just wait for a car to pull in (more than likely they don't come to the bag drop and go straight to the parking lot). I then walk to their car, greet them, grab their bag, load them on a cart of my choosing, clean their clubs with a wet towel and then proceed to take their money
First year of doing it was kinda a trial year to see if I could make some extra gas money. Today I have about 90% of customer tips and make at least 500 bux in tips a month plus another 1000 with my pay rate.
