The latest issue of Motor Trend has an article entitled Strike Force which compares five tuner built vehicles to the new Z06 Corvette. Inside the magazine you will see our 2005 Mustang. Considering the Mustang was only 281CI and everything else was 427 or larger I think it made pretty good power

I was laughing at the quarter mile times. The 1100hp Hennessey Viper went 11.70 at 138. lol And the 1000 hp Lingenfelter vette went 11.90 at 134. And the stang went 12.90 @ 120. lol Awesome to be a part of that though, Congrats!!

 

That's some damn good company to be in for sure. Especially when you're short a few hundred cubic inches.

 

Ill tell you that the ford GT was the one that went 217mph!

z06 didnt make the 200mph benchmark during testing stages. lol
So yea, ford wins again!

First of all the Viper was the one that went 217mph, not the GT. Also the Z06 was bone stock and the GT wasnt so of course the GT should be faster.

I love Ford but GM bitch slapped the GT with the Z06, same performance less than half the price. Sure it doenst look as cool or have the so called racing heritage the GT has, but its 65K and will run with the 160K GT and blow away the 80K viper.
