Default thinking about getting a crx

a buddy of mine has an 89 crx, no rust at all, that isn't running anymore. he's not sure what's wrong with it, might just be a blown head gasket. anyways.. i was thinking if its cheap enough I might turn it into a little beater. what do you guys think? my car gets decent gas mileage, unless im driving in town.. which I only do on the weekends anyways. I dunno.. I may just fix it up and sale it. I'd still drive my car at least 3 days out of the week so I'd keep full coverage insurance on it too and liability on the crx. think i'd save enough in gas to make it worth while?

when people get daily drivers, in my eyes, it defeats the purpose, I love driving and enjoying my mustang every day

lol I'm still driving my car and keeping full coverage insurance on it.. it's not like im locking it up and throwing away the key.

just thinking of getting something to save me some money. im not desperate to do it.. but since this crx is already broke it could potentially be a great deal.

I am probably gonna get a beater this winter. More than anything im just nervous about the car gettin wrecked. plus it would be nice to not put so many miles on it. <g>

i completely agree... i drive my explorer everyday so when i get back in the mustang it feels great and i go for drives sometimes just because i wanna drive the car but i never did that when i drove it every day. you get bored of the car when you drive it every day. and dont say you dont springs because you were just talking about buying a camaro.

I say get the crx and fix it up for a daily driver, I have a jeep for my DD. I completly agree with Floppy about getting bored, you can't have power all the time and toally appreciate it!

Only get the CRX if you can get it cheap enough, and fixed/running cheap enough that it will be worth it with the gas savings. I was thinking about doing this, but the savings wouldnt pay for the car for like 1.5 years.

get the crx

I've been looking for a beater to do be a pizza driver and make a killing b/c my friend makes so much money driving.

I've been looking for a crx, or an older civic, but the car I would die for would be around a 95 240sx.
