So, my son who is just shy of being a year and a half old, loves to go outside. He's also always been attracted to my GT, which I attribute to the bright color, Torch Red.

But last week, I get home and he and my wife are already home, as they usually are. He gets all excited to see me, and I notice he still has his coat on. My wife said he wouldn't let her take it off. He grabs my hand and walks me to the door, his sign that he wants to go out and play. So I take him out. He immediately goes to the passenger door of my car, and tries to open it. I unlock it for him, and he opens it up. I pick him up and put him in the passenger seat. He climbs down onto the floor in front of the seat, and climbs out of the car, and then tries to climb into the back of the car behind the passenger seat.

So, I push the seat forward, he climbs in the back on the floor, and then tries to climb into his car seat. So I pick him up, and put him in it. He then tries to reach for the straps, so I strap him in. While I'm leaned into the car, he grabs my collar and does a pulling motion, so I get in the passenger seat, and close the door. He gets all antsy, so I turn around and he again, grabs my collar and does a pulling motion, pulling me towards the drivers seat.

So, I get into the drivers seat, and he starts pointing out the front window doing his little grunting noises. I start it up, and turn around to look at him. He's got a face that clearly says "Dad! WTF are you waiting for? Let's go!".

So, I pull out, drive around the block, pull back in my driveway, and go to take him out of the car. He pitched a fit from hell, clearly saying to me we're not done yet. So, I get back in, and we drive around for about 20 minutes. Go back home, and he repeats the fit again. So we drive around some more, about another 10 minutes. We get home, he gets out of his carseat no problem. Runs around the yard for about 30 minutes, then goes inside, eats some dinner, watches some Sesame Street, and then proceeds to get his model Mustang (which just so happens to be of a 2005 GT, Torch Red in color) and falls asleep while he watches some more Sesame Street. :clap:

Yeah, it's great! My 4 year old boy asked me the other day if he could have my car when he grows up! Brought a tear to my eye!

And, he likes to "Do the black stuff".....so needless to say, my son is going to cost me a fortune in tires! (and, I can't turn down a request from my son for an excuse to light em up! )

 

thats awsome!, it's kinda funny I grew up in a Chevy Family..dad has a 77, grandfather had a whole fleet of 50's chevy's (in Colombia South America)... i even had a camaro as a toy car, lol and still by some force of magic Boom, I'm a Ford Mustang Lover lol... oh well...

 

pfft..i dont need any insentive to lay some rubber on the ground....it better than listening to the radio..hahaha...

 

buy him a little battery car and transform it into a mustang.
