That is kind of short sighted considering he was on for the entire year up until like the last 4 games of the regular season. He is obviously back to form as shown in the ACC tourny. It is hard to say that someone averaging around 28 points a game is sporatic. I would say that is consistency. He gets his points. I agree that sometimes he is quiet, but he gets them. I say that the most important thing is that Duke gets Shelden scoring. That has been a flaw that Duke has had, relying too heavily on the outside shot, but they haven't really had a dominent post player in a while. Boozer was ok, but Brand in 99 would have been the last dominent big man. Before him, you have to go all the way back to Laettner, but he was out of range to call a big man, as he beat you from almost anywhere on the court.

Yeah but championships aren't won with one player...u shut JJ down he'll go down...Duke lost to alota NOTHING teams this year...I don't think they're in top form goin into this tournament..

ummmmm...they only lost 3 games FSU, UNC, and Georgetown by a combined 15 points. UNC and Georgetown in the top 25, and you know about all the troubles Duke has in Tallahassee so I was not exactly surprised. I would not classify 3 losses as "Alot" and I would not exactly call UNC and Georgetown nothing teams. And you sre sitting there singing the praises of FSU, so I think that your dislike for Duke is coming through when you have to look at the facts. The numbers don't lie.

UCONN lost to Marquette by 15 points and they are not even ranked. UCONN must SUCK

Plus they have shown that they can win with JJ struggling as long as Williams becomes a presence. The loss the Georgetown was because Williams only had 4 points. If you recall (I do) Redick had 41 in that game.

Well I'm not trying to convert you to be a Duke fan. Most people will pull against the teams that do well year in and year out. As I have said in other threads, I will not argue opinion, but I will set the facts straight. They obviously earned the overall #1 ranking, as they won the acc tourny (aka the Duke Invitational lol). Do I agree with the analysts that the break for UCONN could benefit them, sure. Obviously, after playing 27-33 games, the legs are not going to be as strong as they were on day 1 of the season, and considering that you must win 6 games to win it all, you could use all the rest you could get. In Duke's case, they needed the tourny to get things back on track, as everyone saw with that last week losing to both FSU and UNC, and as seen over the weekend, they are back. BC is a tough team, and many have picked them for the Final Four, so although they struggled against Miami a little, and finally at the end put away Wake, to come out and beat an elite team after playing for 3 straight days in a high pressure lose and go home environment says something.

To say that Duke, UCONN, whoever will win or lose is simply opinion (whether or not they actually do because everyone knows that anything can happen) but you have to give the respect that teams are due for playing well and beating good teams. Even though I hate UNC, I will give them their credit. To only lose 6 games playing in the ACC and carrying that name with them says alot.

For you to project them into the championship game, you must think they are pretty good so why all the bashing anyway?

SO I went and watched UNC and Mich St practice today. Good times, kinda boring, but cool. Would go to the games, but tickets are being sold for over 600 bux just for the UNC game, and almost that for the other games.
Dayton is a big bball town
