V6 or V8
Well you see im in kind of a predicament....its simple really should i go for the fastest v6 sleeper or should i do an engine swap and swap out my v6 with a v8.. I thought the sleeper thing would be awsome my bro thought of it. if i did make the v6 as fast as the v8 what would be my limits on the stock block compared to the 8

Aight heres the skinny...I've been researching this for quite awhile...It seems you can pick up a Mach 1 Engine for 3100 plus install and other parts so ur lookin about 5 grand for a new Mach 1 V8...now that u got that hp...ur also guna wana change the drive shaft, differential, control arms, suspension...and a few other small things...U might even wana change ur transmission at that time if your really guna mod that engine beyond 400 hp... So swapping in a V8 isn't guna be a quick in and out job...
On the other hand you can get some good numbers from a rebuilt V6...look at all the guyz on 3.8 that have well over 350 hp...with spray u can probably do even better then that...basically it comes down to how much u wana spend...
Drop a V6 for a GT...probably not a good idea now...u might as well wait another year or two and try and get a repoed 05-06 GT or something...

Stay six the 3.8 block, bottom end and pretty much there all their stock internals are very very strong. Andy from the 3.8 forums makes a turbo kit. You can run about 4.4psi w/o uprgading your fuel system. put a t-lok in or get a gt rear. Put in 3.73 gears Get h/c/i(heads cam intakes) done and you will be damn near running with stock 03 cobras if you have a 99-04 split port sixer.
