LOL no, its prolly not your battery, cause mines pretty much brand new, and they are still dim as hell. Im GOING to get HIDs someday. Maybe sooner than later, as there really isnt anything else I really want other than to put in the longtubes. Ill take some 6k's though, I dont want those damn blue ones.

i've had hids in my car for a couple months... not one person has flashed their lights at me. and i can finally see bumps in the road before i get to them. like i said earlier i had piaa's which are supposed to be the best bulbs but it really makes no difference, they only change the color of the light.

Yeah whoever said a halogen buld is just as bright as a HID setup is a moron.
ANd i would agree i would use the 6k kit rather then then crazy blue 8k kit but thats me. Its also something i would like to do one day in the future.

Lately, Im beginning to not care about more power because I want to be able to see at night. Grimmz, Im pretty sure im going to go with the kit MT sells, as Ive seen quite a few reviews of it, and everyone seems to be having good luck with it.

do any automakers come with more then 6k thats the real question. I think everyone i have seen is 6k kit not the 8k or 10k kits that are out there. I saw a local guy in orlando with them he had the 8k kit whihc is very blue when close (not really my style) but the light pattern was pretty darn good with the stock 03 housing. I think if you just get the HID plug and play kit you would be very happy madmatt thats what i want to do when i see a good deal on ebay i am gonna do it.

LoL it's not a looks thing, Projectors spread the beam out better, and focus it in other places correctly...withouth them, people were sayin in the stock lights they seem off by a little bit...

FLoppy how do yours look?

i have no problems. i dont have crisp lines but its not that bad either. there are hotspots in the center. 100x better lighting than stock. i've had them for a couple months and could never go back to regular lights. i dont care what anyone on this board says. nobody has flashed me because my lights are too bright because they're aimed down enough to not get in anyones eyes. but yet i can see further down the road than ever before.

I use the Silver-stars for the headlights and the equivalent for the fog lamps and I get high-beamed all the time...

What about the Xenon series?

thats probably because your headlights are aimed up too high... they're not any brighter than stock, just a different color..

they're properly aimed but the car is up off the ground, so I think the headlights are aligned with the height of a sedan. So I would be sitting high and the headlights would be at the same level as the head of the person in a sedan.

So its not really the power its just the color that makes you *Think* that they're brighter?

it's called color temperature...goes a lil like this

3,000K and lower - very yellow

4,300K - very close to the color temp of the sun, VERY white, no blue

6,000K - half and half blue/white light ( best for plug n play kits IMO)

8000K - very blue

10000K - and up purple
