Default springs

I would like to lower my car slightly but dont want to alter my stock springs or spend alot of money on springs. I own a convertable and I believe the factory springs are stiffer than the coupe (but not sure) The Ford springs that are for sale here at Mustang Tuning are in my price range but I'm not sure if they will work on the convertable and or how much lower they would make my car? Why are the ford springs called C-SPRINGS?

I am pretty sure the C and B springs both work on a vert but the FRPP G springs are designed specifically for one. They are more expensive and I dont think MT carries them.

i have a 03 vert and i put the ford springs on mine. i think that that are the "b" springs. i measured the clearance between the tire and the wheel lip in the front and back. i got 3 inches in the front and i think 3.5 out back. what do you have stock?

You will want to get a bump steer kit with them. Any time you lower your car you are throwing the Geometry off a little. Some people live with it, which you can do with no harm, but most rides become more stiff and different driving feel. But it is all up to you how much money you want to spend. Most go with steeda springs www.steeda.com and if they want they buy a bumpsteer kit. hope this helps out a little.

Steedas are also a good spring but significantly more coin than either the B or C springs.

I have the C springs and I am very happy with them. Good price and still a descent ride. Its a little bouncy but I also still have the stock shocks.

I think when my shocks and such run out again, Im going to go with a C spring/ Mach 1 shock strut combo.

I have not measured the stock tire to fender clearance at this time due to car in winter storage 100 miles away. I do know that it sits aprox 1-inch higher than I like for cosmetic appearance. I would just like to fill the wheel well up with more tire, but I dont want to buy taller tires. I do plan on going slightly wider on tires to the 275/40r17 size this summer.
