Default shift light anyone?

I'm really looking into putting a shift light on me 02 gt.. but i was wondering what exactly i needed for the install being that the 02 is coil over plug ignition.... i have heard that i should use either a tach drive.... or a rpm activation swicth to get the light to actually light up.... Just wanted to see if anyone has one on their car and what they used to install it....

raptor shift light, and you dont need anything except it, and it alone.

you just mount the light, run the wire under the dash.tap into your pcm, and one of your eight cylinder wires ( anyone works)

and your done...30 min- hour job

I just installed a Raptor shift light and it works flawlessly. They have several installation links on their website. The only change I made was to solder the connections instead of using crimp on connectors. There have been reports of problems with the Raptor lighting the CEL and I figured the crimp on connectors might be at fault.

hah yeah.. I'm one of those who experienced CEL issues, and I tried different connectors (but they were also crimp on) but who knows.. tons of people use crimp on with no issues.
