Battery Question
Yo, I have a lot of electronics running on my 'stang, just to name a few..
A 1000-Watt Power Inverter
Cobra CB Radio System
Subwoofer and Amplifier
and the blacklight neons... now the neon's just freaking kill the car, and I've actually killed the battery once listening to the sub and amp for about 20 minutes without the car running. I'm looking to sell the neons because the car just can't keep up with everything thats going on.
The point of this thread is because I have so much asking from my battery, the car kills itself whenever I have the radio on. Is there a certain 12volt battery (or higher voltage) that one would recommend or buy, or maybe a kit where I can store another battery in the trunk to help distrubite the power? Dropping the electronics (mind the neons) isn't an option. Thanks.

A battery isnt going to fix your problem, a bigger altenrator will.
Find the current draw of your amp, neons, cb, ect and give 40a for car accessories.
amps = watts x volts
1000w / 14.4v = 70a
neons and CB are probably 20a
plus 40a for accessories
you need a 130a alternator to supply your vehicle with the power it draws. Your alternator already has its life shortened because it cant keep up with the power draw which is a strain on it.
