We drove a 2003 GT yesterday. we noticed that the engine runs at 2200 RPM and the MPH was 55 in 4th gear. This figures out to about 3.00 to one. The code we think is LE on the door tag under the heading of AXLE???

Is this a 8 inch ring gear with a 3.00 / 1 ratio?

What is the door tag code for Posi traction rear end also? Or how can we tell if the car has positive traction rear end?

The car felt like a higher rear gear ratio while it was in first gear.

ok, those gts come stock w/ a 3.27 (im pretty sure) and its an 8.8' rear end.

you have to figure wind resistance in there too. those calculators are off sometimes.

 

that is the speed and rpm i usually am at in 4th

 

hmm.. im usually at about 3200-3500 at 55 in 4th with 4.10s (i think)
