My son has a 1999 mustang GT Auto trans, with a bad 4.6, I found a 2006 4.6 complete with auto trans out of a Police car to install, the first thing I noticed was the police motor has fly by wire throttle. It looks like at first glance, that I just need to swap throttle bodies, but now I'm wondering what else might be different.


I have the complete engine wiring harness and engine computer as well with the newer motor, and I have access to anything I might need off of the police car at least until he scraps it out.


Has anybody done this before to know what all else I might run into?
