Default Is my set up too powerful?

I am running a BONE-STOCK 8 cylinder with an inter cooled Paxton Supercharger. The supercharger is tuned to about 8 lbs. of boost. I also have a blow off valve on my set up. My question is if my set up is too powerful for my engine and that it has the chance of blowing. Someone told me that this may be an issue and i am looking for some input.
Thanks guys

Not to be a smartass but its all in the tune. Make sure that its tuned by someone with experience in forced induction and by no means run it on a "canned tune".

You should be fine with 8 pounds. Good Luck.

According to this thread

https://mustangboards.com/power-adde...tml#post476201

He is running 410 RWHP with 8psi on a Mustang Dyno but no graph was provided. My car with Auto transmission made 400hp on a dynojet and that was SAE corrected numbers. It only took 11psi and 13* of timing for her to make those numbers.

The OP car is probably in the 390-400 range but 410 on a mustang dyno is a little bit of a stretch. However, it does have those special flowmaster long tubes and performance spark plugs.
