Default How to lubricate ignition keylock assembly 2000GT Mustang

Hello,

When I insert my key and turn to start my car it seems like the mechanism is binding slightly and does not turn as easy as it used to. I figured it probably just needs lubricating. I thought of spraying wd40 in the keylock and maybe around the assembly, but thought I would check here first. Has anyone had a similar issue, and what is the best way to lubricate the assembly?

Thanks...

You need Graphite liquid to lubricant locks, its sold everywhere like Home depot. Your issues may be a piece of paper or tape that got stuck on your key and now is jamming lock. In any case try to lube it first.
