Smile Car Buying Question

Hello,
I'm new here. So hi
Anyways, I'm 15 and a half and I'm getting my license in February. I really want a Mustang but I'm not sure what to get.
Here are the ones I'm thinking about:
1) A 1999 through 2004 Mustang V6
2) A 1999 through 2004 model Mustang GT
3) A 2005 through 2007 Mustang V6
4) A 2005-2007 Mustang GT (a little out of my price range but I can probably get it if it's a lot better than the others)
This may seem stupid, but which one would you guys recommend? And which is going to be the cheapest option in the long run?
Thanks!

License at 16 huh? Yikes!

Depends on how responsible you think you'd be. If you aren't an idiot then i'd say go for a GT.

No one knows your financial situation but if you can get the newer GT then go for it. If you are looking to modify your car then you might want to go for the 99-04 GT, and then make it your own.

Safety is a big key. A few kids around here died yesterday in an SUV. There were 8 in the car and I don't know for sure, but chances are they were driving reckless. Might not have been, but 8 16-17 year olds in a car at once, come on.

If you wanna drive fast, do it at the track.

Of those I would say the 99-04 GT. That is assuming you can be responsible with it. 260 horsepower may not sound like much but you can get yourself hurt in a hurry if you aren't careful. You will have your hands full just getting acquainted to driving. A high school friend of mine just lost his little brother in a deadly car accident this past year. Good luck in your search and be safe out there.

I got mine at 16, my parents let me buy anything that was not a V8 or stick (or large interior space, different conversation). That was probably a good idea because I grew up riding with my dad who is a very talented driver meaning i would try to do some things he did and starting out didnt realize that everything has a right time and place (like the track). Anyways I would recommend getting a 99-04 v6 and saving/upgrading after you get used to driving a sporty car.. you can still make it look really nice and they have plenty of power for a first car.
