Exclamation Fitting Subs In My 2000 With Mach 460 ??

I am trying to add a little bass to my 2000 stang but truck space is tight and i already have the Mach 460 sound system which restricts truck space even further. All im interested in is putting in one 10inch and im not sure if that will even fit...Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Our trunks aren't that small. It will fit 1 10" sub just fine. Depends on what type of box you want which will determine how much space it will consume. They make stealth boxes that fit in the front corner of the trunk and are carpeted to look like it's not there.

Thank you...So your saying even with that large black plastic thing that comes with the Mach system i can still manage to get a sub in there. Or can it be removed possibly?

If I'm not mistaken that "black plastic thing" is the amp rack, and can't be removed unless you don't want the amps. I also believe there is enough room to fit a 12" in there, if you wanted to. I believe the clearance was something like an inch of spare space for a 12" box. A 10" will fit fine! Just curious, what are you going with?

Im going to go with a 10 inch Rockford Fosgate P2...I was originally going to get a 12 inch but i do find it hard to believe that i can fit one in there. The last thing i want to do is get one and then find out it doesnt fit.

The stealth box for a 10 inch sub will tuck into the corner of the trunk near the taillight. It will not go under the amp/acoustic box of the mach system.

Here you go. The stealthbox is made by JL Audio. http://www.crutchfield.com/s_1369402...rch=stealthbox

I made some fiberglass enclosures for a set of Rockford Fosgate 10" P2 subs for my old Mustang. They were set into the side of the trunk, mostly out of the way. I sold them to PCola, I don't know if they are still working for him or not. If you have the time, might be something to consider.

There is also the MTX Thunderbox but I don't like MTX nearly as much as JL. here is the link for the MTX box http://www.amazon.com/MTX-Thunderfor.../dp/B0035RJMRM

Sometimes you gotta pay to play. You may have to make something yourself. I had a lot less space in my fox convertible then you have and I made this system work.

Build a box, it'll fit. I have two 10s in the trunk of my 02 vert, which has a smaller trunk than the coupes I believe. It'll run you about $25 + a couple hours of your time. Do some research first though if you build it, if you don't do it right it'll sound like ****.

Wow I have the same car with the Mach 460 and i have 2 JBL 12'"
U do need a Harness!!! my box dosent take up much room at all I have aprox. 4x the room of Whitestang 04 my box fits right between the 2 existing Amps.
I know a company that makes a box that fits perfect.

Here's a pic of one of the enclosures Matt sold me, I actually just sold this one last month as one of the amp channels went out and TBH 1 sub sounds the same as 2 for how I use them.

Nice Sub... Looks like it can produce some serious thunder.
I have the 460 system in my mustang as well. I never updated the woofer, cause I think it produces pretty decent base as it is. But if it ever had issues I would certainly consider adding a little more thunder to the system
