Default Fixing axle... question!

Ok so when you take our the axle (or in my case before due to damage) is a plate that looks like it has a sensor sticking out. Well mine is bent.
1. What is it? ABS possibly?
2. I bent it back with gentle taps from a hammer, will it be ok

Idiot me forgot my camera cord and card reader at college so I cant provide any pics

Yes that is the ABS sensor that reads the reluctor ring on the axle.
When I put the gears and axles in my 02, I had to remove these senors in order to push the axle in enough to remove the "C clips"

Its a 50/50 shoot. If you get a code, you'll know what it is.

Alright thanks!

What would it do if not working right? Just not have ABS?

Should just throw a code. Try turning off traction control.
