Fluids
Hey guys, car has 60k miles on it, I want to change all my fluids, well sort of.
My radiator was flushed at 40k, so I don't need that done. My gears were put in at the same time, so I am good to go there. So, besides engine oil, radiator fluid, and rear-end, what else needs to be changed? What should I use?

If your auto and drive your car hard you better change that fluide every 25k to 35k miles for longer tranny life. And a Trans cooler is a must i cant stress that enough.
Change your tranny fluide. I used Mobile one in my f150 its not to exspensive and was great. I have used royal purple in there to but its so exspensive.

You have all those mods and no tranny cooler oh my.
Ok a tranny coole ris simpley a cooler that cools teh trannys fluide down alot more then the stock setup ever could. The most you want your fluide ot get is 200* anything more and it eats bands badly. and shrinks seals and hardens them. I high HIGHLY recomend a tranny cooler to help bleed off the extra heat. with my 4r70w (same as mustangs) and a 3k nitrous convertor and a B&M 24,000GVW cooler my tranny didnt go over 180* even in 104* heat we had that summer here in orlando. it was great.
Go to jegs or summit and get a cooler asap. Do not get the fined type. they dont cool nearly as well as the stacked plate setup.
Also installing a cooler is easy to do. Simpley mount the cooler in a place where its going to get alot of airflwo. Like in front of the radiator behind the grill is a great spot or down low where the air comes up near the bottom. then run the feed line and return like to the radiator. You take the bottom line off (this is the return line that goes back to the tranny) from the radiator and hook it to the inlet of the cooler. take the outgoing line form the cooler and install it onto the metal line that goes to the tranny.
Now the fluide goes radiator, cooler, tranny. this is the best way.
oh and they are cheap. Mine was $53 shipped to my door.
