Just wondering on the quality of these headlight assemblies. Was considering ordering a set, but am a little reluctant. I see it is imperative that you seal them with silicone before installation. Have not seen this type of instructions from other suppliers?

Is this common, or is the quality not as high as other suppliers?

 

american muscle puts out very solid and reliable supplies. you should seal any headlight to keep out any moisture just to be on the safe side

 

I noticed some mfg use glass lenses in their assemblies. What does AM use for their assemblies? Any idea on who is the manufacturer??

 

Ford recommends to seal the headlight with silicone, be it aftermarket or OEM replacement. I got the smoked headlights for mine and it looks and performs wonders, I went a step up and also got the HID's for it. the down side of that is that the headlight pattern on the road is a little patchy. Could be because the reflectors arent "perfect" but they still perform better than stock. And the highbeams are not effective at all, low beam is just fine! AM is my only supplier. btw they are plastic

 

We only have plastic headlights on our cars, no glass.
