Default Replacing Break Pads

I don't need any special break pads just some that'll last a good while, that are low on break dust, and that are break better than stock ones. Any suggestions?

I'd just say "screw it" and buy the cheap ones from auto zone, but i've been recommended not to go cheap on breaks.

thanks

I am quick to second the Hawk HPS pads. I've used them on the v6/GT calipers and the Cobra calipers after stock pads and they dust less and bite much harder with a very progressive pedal feel. I have never used the Hawk Ceramic pads but I would think they would be a good street only pad. Never use the Hawk HP+ pads on the street. I had a set of the HP+ pads on this past weekend for a track day and they dust more than a detective at a quadruple homicide scene and, when cold, squeal like all three little piggies, bite really hard though.

I wouldn't say don't save some money and get a good set of autopart store pads if your just daily driving it, but you wouldn't be wasting your money on Hawk HPS pads.

Yes I have them on my car right now woth front and rear and wouldn't buy anything else. When my girlfriend needed new brakes on her car i recomended she get the Hawk HPS pads and powerslot rotors. She couldn't believe the difference. I can't think of a reason why I would ever use anything else on my car from now on.

I'm a fan of Satisfied but if price is a concern, I've had good experiences w/ Car Quest's brake shoes. Unless price is a concern, nothing wrong w/ OEM pads also. Just stay away from places like Autozone.

If you're refering to the Hawk HPS pads, Yes they are made to ba a higher quality OEM style brake pad.

I still have stock calipers all around, but I use HPS pads for better performance.

I will keep this in mind, I will be needing to replace mine soon too as I was told by the garage when I had my oil changed recently.
