Unhappy MUSTANG GT OR GT500KR

Hello,
I'm new to Ford Mustangs, and I visited www.americanmuscle.com, it sells very good aftermarket parts, for your V6 or GT. However, I am interested in the GT500 or the GT500KR, regarding the preformance parts, would the GT cold air intake, exhuasts, throttle bodies, hood scoop kits, etc. Work on the GT500KR? Also, aesthetic wise, would general headlights, seats, body kits, also fit?

Thank you very much.

Your best bet would be to buy from steeda. They have a large selection of GT500 parts.

The MAJORITY of mustang GT-500 parts will fit your car. The exhausts I'm sure will. The hood scoop will not, the 500 has a different hood from a GT.

seats-if the bracket is the same size, yes.

body kits-call the seller or manufacturer. It will fit most likely, just not sure about the bumper clearances with the grills and hood. I know that on the 2004 models the stock GT hood looks funny with a cobra bumper (That is the old body style, my old car was an '04 with a stock bumper/stock hood-see sig) But I have no idea about the 05-09 fronts.

GT performance parts- NO. You will have a gt500 which has a 5.4L v8 with different throttle bodies/air intakes/exhausts than a GT.

You should look into what switch said, and look for GT-500 specific parts.

Yep, I ordered a black 2009 GT500KR, I just need to change the hood, dont like the hood pins and the scoop, looking for parts to modify it. (Smoked head lights, and tail lights). Possibly changing the cold air intake and probably make the throttle body bigger.

Ok. I know your new to Mustangs and all. But you just spent most likely 60+ thousand dollars on a very rare car.

Do not change anything at all.

You wouldn't put performance parts on a GT500? I would in a heartbeat.

I'll buy the hood from you. Seriously. For a GT500 I'd go and buy either Brenspeed's power kit for it, Steeda's kit, or just make your own kit with a pulley, bigger TB, longtubes headers with full exhaust, and a nice tune.

That'll take it probably up another 100hp at least. A tune itself can do up to 60 if it's good. I'll buy all the stuff you don't want and put it on mine.

Shipping is cheap when your uncle is district manager at FedEx. Plus shipping to my business is cheaper nonetheless.

For shelby GT500 performance parts, check out www.evoperform.com. They're the first ones with a 10 sec, 9 sec, 8 sec and now 7s with a GT500.
