Default Mirror Help

I need to replace my passenger side mirror.

As you may or may not know, I have a '98.

Its a power mirror that needs to be replaced.

I special ordered it and it should be in tomorrow.

Can anyone explain how to install it or provide tips or something?

Thanks.

Never replaced one, but I'm assuming that you would just need to pop off the triangle from the inside and there will probably be a few bolts and a wire supply that will disconnect. Shouldn't be too bad.

Ive seen the inside of a 2008 mirror and it looks pretty complicated, i didnt take a close look at it though. My friend just sent it to dealership and had them fix it.

Pull the speaker cover off, unscrew stuff, unplug the connector, reverse. I think it should be pretty simple.

its super simple.

Pull off speaker cover or plastic piece(depends on if you have the mach audio system or the base audio system)

undo 3 bolts.

Remove mirror, and unplug wire harness

Plug in new mirror

reinstall 3 bolts

put speaker cover or plastic piece back on

done

you may have to remove the door bezel that goes around the lock/unlock window up/down button to undo the wiring harness, but that is simply removed by inserting a screw driver into a little slot on it and prying it away from the door.

Whole process should take 10 min or less.

This may help you out some...

http://mysite.verizon.net/res0ypq1/id16.html

It shows you how to remove the mirror, its more of a document for painting the mirrors and all, that but it will give you the idea of how to remove/reinstall
