Default Pathetic traction

I've been having alot of traction issues. I'll try to give an example...if I'm turning onto a street, I'll usually give just enough gas to get the car rolling, and then shift to second. If I give more than just enough throttle to keep moving after the shift, I will lose traction and the rear will start to slide. If I don't immediately shift into second during the turn, I will lose traction also. If I'm rolling, the tires seem less likely to break loose. I didn't have this big of an issue when I first attained the vehicle. Tires are Kumho Ecsta's, 245/45/17. They have a decent amount of tread left, and like I said I'm not laying into the throttle at all.

Could this be a suspension issue? Maybe these tires just suck after awhile? I've thought about buying some LCA's, but I hate to purchase an aftermarket product to fix a problem that's just recently come up. I have the ABS light of doom, so no TC. lol Maybe that's my problem. Any logical ideas are welcome.

no ABS and no TC?? sounds like your problem right there buddy. might need a new t-lok. i doubt its your tires considering they are an all season tires, but what is a "decent amount of tread"? lol.

control arms wont fix your problem if its the TC. you get those to be MORE stable.

Eh, after discussing it with some others around here, it seems like it's just the roads. They have similar issues. And being in west Texas, with lots of dust and wind, and no rain in like 5 months, that would explain alot. I hadn't really thought about that before... and apparently the ABS light/no TC thing is fairly common for this car.

If the ABS light is on I would get the fixed as that can cause horrible braking. As for your problem sounds like you said shitty roads and mediocre tires.
