Default Battery Relocation

Have many people done this? Does it make any real difference in handling in an autoslalom? What kits have people used?

yeah, a battery is heavy. and moving it to the rear right supposedly helps with weight distribution.

I wouldn't move it for better handling. Its moved to get a good chunk of weight off the front of the car and onto the back passenger side of the car to help it get better traction off the line. Most batteries are in the 40-50 lbs rang.

But as a virtue, that would affect the handling also since you are balancing the front and rear weights of the car, and even evening out the side-to-side weight distribution.

Ya the Batery weighs 35lbs and puting it in the Trunk on the passenger side
it ends up putting 60lbs on the rear tires because it is behind the Rear End and with the use of leverage

Arn't the battery on the 05+ cars right infront of the firewall and behind the front tires? If so, then relocating the battery wouldn't make as big of a difference, but still a difference. It's just that on the SN95s the battery is way out there in front.

Not only that, located on the worst side, the driver side. I believe S197's have it on the passenger side, which helps even more.

It still makes quite a bit of difference because your still taking alot of weight out of the front and plants it in the rear!
although you are right its not going to be as big of a difference in comparison to other models
