so.....
i put my car in the shop to get the engine, fuel system looked at, and a rear end gear install. hopefully it is just an issue of replacing main bearings. that, and i am leaking fuel SOMEWHERE...no dripping...you just smell fuel as you get done driving it.

gears installed....my mustang goes faster. the guy couldn't find the fuel problem, and he has to pull the engine...so that gives me an excuse to buy new internals and redo the heads/intake/cam.
do i need to reflash my chip when i put in the 3:73 gears or no? (i put in the correct speedo gear)

Since you changed the speedo gear you do NOT need to reflash the ecu for the gear swap, just keep it listed as stock gears in the tune as the speedo gear has fixed it for your year car. Glad to see you like the gears alot, is yours auto or stick? Also why does the motor have to come out?

auto, and that is what my mechanic said...he tried pulling the oil pan off, and said he has to pull it to get it off. i need to talk with him more about it in the future, cause i gotta replace those bearings.
(and i aint buying a newer mustang. i am happy with the one i got.)

the 94-98 were a lot heavier than the 99-04? is that why some people call them snails or is it just the rounded shape? i prefer the stock body of the 94-98 over stock body of 99-04. although i have seen some very nice looking 99-04 body styles that have had add-ons and extra body parts(scoops and other stuff) that look hella beefy and i get excited.

99 started the PI heads and cams. 94-98 can be pulled off very nicely if done right. I think stock for stock a 99-04 looks better. I'm assuming the 94-98 are roughly around the same weight as 99-04.
