Default cab lights

i just realized 2night the cab lights dont come on when i open the door to my 02 stang car. is this how it comes from ford, its kinda inconvenient. Ohh and why does the pull **** for the headlights click when you turn it all the way to the left? I kno it controls the backlights for the gauges and radio but does anything happen while its locked all the way to the left?
Thnx

are your lights blown in the dome? is the fuse blown to the dome light? those things you may wnat to check.

and as for the headlight **** clicking when its all the way left, its supposed to turn on the dome light so you can see in the car when its dark out with out opening your door. which is why you may wanna see if the light or fuse is blown.

wait... is there supposed to be 3 bulbs in the center dome. i opened the dome again today and there's 2 copper contacts in between the left and right bulbs i take it these are for a 3rd bulb. i assumed when i opened the door the left and right bulbs were supposed to come on

only the middle light comes on when you open the door, the left and right have a switch. looks like your missing a bulb.

I don't know if this is the number, but the two ends of my bulb say TS 578. The bulb basically looks like a tubular fuse. It has silver caps on both ends of the tube and the filament runs between them. I'd say you could get it at any auto parts store.
