Need some help w/line lock
Alright guys I need a little help. I had my line lock installed a while back, but it didnt want to hold the brakes. So I purchased a set of cobra brakes (my rotors were scarred and just didn't feel like the stock ones were up to par). Well I get my car back today from having the new brakes installed and the line lock STILL WON'T HOLD! I did a little research and found some guys saying that the kit needs to be installed AFTER the ABS module. Now I don't know if the shop did this or not but could this be my problem?
BTW, I press the peddle, flip the switch and brakes won't hold. BUT when i get back on the brake and release the switch I can feel the line lock release. Is the ABS not allowing the brakes to lock?
Oh, SLP line lock on an 04 MACH.
Thanks in advance

SLP LL is one of the few mods I still have left on my 03 GT. Here are the directions so you can see if it was installed correctly or not. http://www.slponline.com/inst/M25000.pdf

Been there done that. When you say that it wont hold, do you mean that it pulls though the brakes with a very little amount of resistance or doesnt hold any at all? The SLP should go inline with the back brake line on the master cyl.
When you take this line loose and play hell starting all the new lines, you loose all the fluid and air replaces it. You have to bleed all four wheels over and over until all the air is gone. I dont mean to be a smart *** but it took me 4 pints of fluid to get all the air out. I stiil think I have to push the pedal a little harder to set and hold, but I'm running drag radials and a locker unit that wants too pull.
Let us know what you find.

very little resistance,
for example, when im sitting on a hill i can engage the line lock to hold the car from rolling down the hill, but it will not hold the brakes tight enough to stop the car from rolling in a burnout.

A couple of things to check, is the soleniod mounted properly?, there is an inlet and an outlet, a good ground and full battery voltage with soleniod energized (volt meter not test light), and all the air out of the system. If all these are good then I would say that you have a bad soleniod.
Mine did the same thing after I put it on but after a very long bleed process it got alot a better. The air gets trapped in that ABS "thingie" up front by the radiator. I would bleed and get nothing but fluid and the next thing you know you would get a little air. I hate to keep harping on the air thing but I really do think thats where the problem is. Hope this helps.

got the car back yesterday from the shop and the line lock works great now, they reinstalled the kit. He really didn't know what was wrong the first time, but I'm with Tuff and think it was air trapped.
BTW, had eibach prokit installed also, so no more 4x4
