Default whats the problem?

ok, so i changed my springs and shocks and 1 of the front struts(right front) and i'm getting the other strut tomorrow and putting it on. i done it all good. so i drove it down the road and got a 1/8th mile and i heard something in the front right. and it sounded like something rubbing but it wasnt a grinding noise it was a rubbing noise and it gets a little bit louder and louder accelerating. is it cause i drove it with only 1 new front strut. do i need to go get an alignment once the other one is changed? the tires sit how they did before.

first off, why would you do only 1 front when that will probably lead to a disaster. secondly, yes you need an alignment. what products did you use. Caster/Camber plates? if you took your brakes off, you may have put the pads on wrong. just throwing out an idea.

H&R SS Springs
Tokica Shocks
Tokica Struts

i will do the other strut tomorrow and see what happens. i'll then get an alignemt and i have maximum motorsprts C/C plates incase.

and yes i took the brakes off and calipers and etc. the brake pads fell out and i'm pretty sure i put them back in right.

just put the cc plates on before you get an alignment. Then its all done the first time. I've never seen anyone be able to get their car aligned after a 2" drop without cc plates. I agree with PureStang you shouldn't be driving around when you have one aftermarket strut that has different ratings and the other side have a stock strut.

you have the new struts now right? you connect the strut shaft with the plates. You should have everything you need with the kit and then a few things from before like the retaining screw

ahh, nevermind haha, when i got the C/C box and kit i opend it and was like "wtf?" and i took one look at the directions (not reading them just looking at the page) and it looked like a whole nother launguge haha. **** looks more complicated than it really is, i read the instructions and it looks pretty simple. i'll be doing this tomorrow and installing my other strut then to the shop to get an alignment

to install CC plates, all you need to do is remove the the stock one, mark where the 4th hole goes, drill, then bolt it up, shouldnt take more than an hour to do.

question, did you take the whole caliper off the brake line? or did you just remove it from the rotor and stuff it away in the wheel well (keeping it attached to the brake system)

i took the whole thing off but kept it attached to the line and hung it up in the fenderwell with wire.
