Default How do my future mods look?

Well the PI cams/team breed valve covers are going in within the next few weeks along with a retune so this will max out my stock motor. No more motor work for me. This is what i was planning to do after the cams are in:

Build drivetrain/rear:
FRPP aluminum driveshaft
Safety loop
GMS Girdle + Oil
Eaton Posi
Moser 31 spline axles

I'm currently running 18x9 chrome saleens all around wrapped in Kumho ecsta MX's so i wanted to step it up to:
18x10 chrome saleens in the rear
305/35/18 M/T ET street radials

BC-Auto stall along with a built tranny from them

I think this will keep me busy for a while but this is what i am planning on doing while i enjoy the life of my stock shortblock, then from there I'll be going with a built MMR setup.

Let me know what ya think. Thanks for reading!

You doing that for looks? Drag racing/ track performance I think that would be a stupid move.

No Im not. Your money would be more wisely spent going with drag rims and slicks instead of tall and heavy 18x10's.

Ive considered that route, but this car is my DD about 8 months of the year. I just think that some bigger radials would do the trick. I also have about an hour drive to school every once in a while...

You bolt the drag rims up when you go to the track. Not daily drive on them...

oh youre talking about rims/tires solely for the track. I do plan on eventually getting a set. But what about for the street. I think that 18x10s with some 305/35/18 would do the trick??

Just sounds like a waste of money to me. I dont really care about performance on the street anymore. I eventually grew out of that. Just my opinion though.

Id dump the aluminum drive shaft, not really a worth while mod. I wouldnt buy GMS anything. Ive got the Trick Flow on my car and dont have any complaints. Might want to look into a k member. I highly recommend the PA Racing k, with stock a arms and regular springs, not coil overs. I loved that setup on my car, great for a DD.

Only reason i was going to go with a GMS girdle is because i was going to pretty much order my whole rear from AM. the only girdle they sell is the GMS one and i didnt think a company could really mess that up. I know about their horror stories with the control arms...should i really consider a FRPP one or a different brand?

If your main goal of doing the 10s in the rear is for looks, then I would suggest just getting some spacers to give the rear a wider track. This will give you pretty much the look you are going for. Plus, if you DD this thing 8 months out of the year, then those MTs are not going to last very long at all. So, get some hubcentric spacers for $150 or so. Then, with all the money you save by not getting the MTs and 18s, get some big-n-little Draglites with matching tires for the track.

Just my $.02.
