Hey, I was driving to school today, and I'm hearing like a ringing noise coming from what I think is my gearbox. It's not coming from my motor, because I can only hear it INSIDE the car... I recently installed my Tri-ax short shifter... do yall have any ideas?It only makes the noise at mid to high RPM too...

 

i also installed Tri-ax short shifter a few weeks ago...i hear the same noise ur talking about but for me its only on 3rd gear tho..im wondering wat it is too... anyone???

 

An after market shifter doesn't have all the rubber and crap to keep tranny noises out. It will always be louder with a after market shifter then with a stock one.

ok, well I guess I was just being paranoid...

 

i have a weird noise too but i dont have any upgrades or mods yet. when i drive my car there is a loud winding noise that almost sounds like power steering, i check out my power steering though and its full. it gets loud when i accelerate and change gears... sounds like a freakin supercharger or something haha im a little worried about it i just bought it a few weeks ago and it wasnt doing that and it seems like its riding more rough than it did. can anyone help me out??
