Default Long tubes and X-pipe

I have a set of BBK long tubes. Will they fit on a x-pipe of a different brand for example slp's shorty x-pipe for long tubes? What's the ups and downs for o/r x or h pipes? Thanks

I think the slp will only for for slp longtubes..check the slp website or call the customer care and ask them if their x pipe is compatible with any other product!

The only differece in the x and H pipes is sound! There might be a marginal difference in horsepower but not much! I personally like the sounds of x pipes better!

I think SLP says their shorty x-pipe only works on their LTs and they don't recommend anything else

Maybe they say that because they want more business? Thats just my guess, I dont have any personal experience. But I do think its a good idea to use the same brand headers and midpipe.

You can make anything work, but it would be easiest if you kept the brands matching. Like mac midpipes to mac headers. Just works easier that way.

I have BBK long tubes on my GT and a mac long tube h pipe. fit togeather perfectley. But like he said. I'd stick with one brand for the mid pipe/long tube combo. cat back choices are endless.

LOL, wait until you find out how much work it is. Thinking ahead, you could prolly start pulling it all apart and have the headers on by the time the pipe came. JK, but it will take a long time to do.

x-pipes sound different and are more efficient over about 3000 rpm

With BBK LTs you can get a Dr. Gas or VRS X pipe that will work with them.
