4.6 sohc J-Mod Rocks!!!
If you have a 4R70W you HAVE to do this mod. It's a lil' time consuming, but you can instantly tell the difference. IF I didn't have 315s in the back I SWEAR I'd be chirpin' 3rd.
This is the first link you need.
And the second one.
I made the changes recommended in the second article and I tell you it rocks.
The change I didn't expect was the drop of 200 RPMs in cruising rpms...

For whatever reason I can't edit the original post, so here's the second link
Basically I did everything included in the first link with the exception of the changes mentioned in the second link. It went off without a hitch. The thing about it is that the instructions are VERY precise and VERY clear. The only two problems I had were the lack of snap ring pliers and I dropped a screw into the catch can and had to drain it into a bucket to retreive it....

I don't have the guts either. I just let my xcal2 do the shift changes for me. I know that isn't the best way to get it done, but I can go back to stock shifting in the winter time with no problems.
I just don't feel like having my car shift like a race car @ -35 degrees on an icy road.

It's not the valve body. It's the separator plate on the valve body. It's easy peasy. I was scared as hell at first, Just knowing I was gonna screw something up. All for not. Except for the tranny fluid shower when you drop the valve body, you are golden.
