Unhappy trany noise

i just had my local shop change my TOB. the trany is still making a noise that sounds like a clicking TOB. its not that though. the noise is coming from the rear section of the trany. the noise comes and goes and is worse with the ac on. actually the sound is non exsistant when the acis off. also the car has a vibration at idle. heeeeelp!

if its only when the a/c is on then more then likly it has something to do with the a/c not the tranny. If its only when its switched to "on" i would say the a/c clutch is going bad.

My tranny is making a squealing noise whenever I put it in drive. Would anyone know what is causing this? I check the fluid level and it is fine. The noise sounds similar to a bad belt.

You should start your own thread, but if its making noise there are alot ( i mean alot of things it could be). Its hard to point that kind of problem out over the net. I know this sounds stupid, but was the fluide checked on level ground with the transmission hot? it will give different readings if its cold and not on level ground. Other then that could be convertor is toasted, bands worn out, i could go on and on.

Yeah it was checked on level ground, and when it was hot. Its started a few weeks after I had my shift kit installed.

yeah, start your own thread. jk. i had the car up on a lift while it was running and in neutral. the noise is coming from inside the tranny, towards the back of the housing. i think oneof the bearings has gone bad. i think im just going to get a rebuild kit for it and do everything, all bearings/seals and syncros, the whole nine. what are your thooughts on this. og yeah where can i get a good price on complete rebuild kit.
