Default Drawing to much power?

Ok so I finally got my radar hardwired in. Took about 2 and 1/2 hours because ever wire we tried was live. We couldn't find the fuse box either. Finally we decided to splice the ignition wire, and now it works fine. Ran the cord through the A-pillar and everything.

Thing is, whenever I start my car up, I get a "low volt" reading on the radar, and about 3 seconds after that it runs just fine. I think the altenator replaces the power or w/e. It also happens when I press the button to lower the top.

I was looking on getting some interior lighting (neon or led) haha yes rice rice. My question is will I be drawing to much power? I don't want to splice the same wire twice. I dono really just looking for advice. And not the "dont get the neon" advice.
I was looking at getting this kit, or something like it.

I heard neon draws a lot of power though. Is led another option?
Thanks
Eric

Neon doesn't draw that much power. Just make sure you connect the positive wire directly to the + battery terminal. Don't tap it to the fuse box or any under-dash wires.
