An exhaust leak is when the exhaust leaks. Sorry for the smart *** comment but I couldn't resist. Anyways, you should try using the search function cause this has come up numerous times. It could be a ticking sound, or an airy type psshhhh sound. I don't know how much power you would really lose from it, but the sound gets annoying. Do you have headers? Check your midpipe connections. You gotta give us more info if you want help.

I tried the search but i couldn't find anything that tells me how to find it. I'm running stock headers a completely custom exhaust system with an h-pipe, super 40's dumped. It's not bad but it sounds like the psssssshhhhh sound. Everything is welded together so how do i check the welds?

Everything is welded together? There is no ball type joint or collector or anything where the mipipe and mufflers connect, or the midpipe and exhaust manifolds? Take it to a muffler shop and have them take a look. You might also want to check your spark plugs cause I heard that they start to make a similiar sound if they start to back out. You will want to check that as soon as possible.
