Default flywheel rubbing on something? **pics

so i went in to get my flywheel turned and the shop pointed this out...there are small wear makrs on the crank side of my flywheel...

they are right here....

The shop said it could be my crank moving....Thats hardley seems like the problem....im thinking the metal sheild that was bolted behind it...Anybody have any idea?Maybe ill just put it back together without the sheild in? i dont know..please help

Check the block shield for witness marks (trust me, that's the problem). You can usually bend it a little so it will never rub again, but don't remove it! And before you put it back together, use a prybar to move the crank forward and back. It should hardly move, about .005"-.010", so if there is a problem with the thrust bearing it should be obvious.
