A/C Temp knob won't turn?

A/C Temp **** won't turn?
That's the best title I could come up with. On my 93 GT, the a/c temperature **** won't turn fully to the left, so it'll be totally on the cold position? Is there a simple way to fix this or do I have to buy the whole a/c control unit, if it's still available?
