Car jerks in 1st
Can anyone tell me why my GT wants to jerk itself apart in first gear. This is especially a problem at parking lot speeds. Or a slow pull out in traffic.
I will have the car around say ten MPH and maybe 14/1500 RPMS and if I give it any gas at all it jerks like a bronco -unless I ride the clutch. Two of my friends had the same problem with it, so I am fairly sure it is not the driver.

Agreed. It all has to do with driving technique, if it starts bucking and you dont know how to make it stop (you'll figure it out sooner or later), just push the clutch in and then let it out again to "restart" the gear.

Have the same problem with first. If I have to go that slow, I usually just let the engine idle in 2nd if I'm on a flat surface. This is mainly a result of the 3.38 1st gear ratio which makes the slightest of touches amplified that much more.

From the list ofyour mods I didn't see any timing changes (like a steeda timing adj or programmer) but advanced timing makes it worse for some reason. I had a timing adj way back when and once I got past 14 adv it would buck, under 14 and it felt normal (which is still very sensative)

ummm if you start in 1st gear you get goin- then ur off the clutch and you decide to just let of the gas and coast in 1st gear then decide to push the gas again that re-application of the throttle needs to be evver so gentle or else its gonna get shakey...or like others have said just shift into second
