do i need headers to run cams or no?

no, but youll see more gain with vs without.

alrite thanx i just didnt kno if i realy needed em 2 get the exhaust outta there quicker

I'd get Stage 1 VT's. Stage 2s are just alittle better but u need more work and parts and lavor to get them running correctly.

pfft. dont get stage 1s, its a waste of money. You are already in there, so get 2s with new valvesprings and youll be good to go. Youll also need a tune for em.

I would do stage 2's for sure.. it is a lot of extra work but I think it's worth it. And definitely do LT's eventually because it's worth it

ya its stage 2's or nuthing if i decide to go for it.....csledd how much did it run u for all ur parts and the tune all togethor? i kno u did ur own labor but does any kno how much that would run for install roughly

VT Stage 2 N/A Cams - $608 shipped
Manely Nextek Valvesprings (more expensive than Comp Cams) - $245 shipped
All new gaskets, and cam bolts - around $70 shipped (you dont actually need new gaskets, they're suppose to be reusable)
oil change and filter - $22
Valvespring compressor needed to install valvesprings - $68

That's really all I can think of for now.. a shop is gonna charge you a mininum of $600 for the install.. probably more though. Most shops will pull the heads out of the car to install valvesprings.
